‘That bitch lied’ is a 3 episode online mini series with episode 1 titled ‘Coming out’ episode 2 titled ‘Freaking out’ and episode 3 titled ‘Chilling Out’. It’s a frank storytelling of a woman that came out in her mid-twenties and how she navigates adversity towards her newfound sexuality. About Adaya & Laura
Adaya is an actor, Spoken word artist and writer. In 2018 she went viral with a poem called this is for Brum highlighting the talent in the region, it was recognised by Birmingham Live, ITV news and the BBC promoting her as an ambassador for the city. She has gone on to receive commissions from Create Central, Birmingham Live and Shout Festival. She was selected as a regional artist for the BBC words first development scheme in summer 2020 and has also been selected to be a part of the 2020 BACK IN cohort with Daniel Alexander Film and Punch records. Adaya won the Birmingham Monologue Slam and went on to the National Final where she was championed by Channel 4 as an actor. In 2019 she made her writing debut with her solo show which was previewed at the Birmingham REP as an artist on the poetic theatre maker’s programme.
Laura, also known as Mieleous, is a multi-disciplinary designer whose skills set ranges from video production and animation though to art direction, interior design and a Youtube creator. Laura’s entrepreneurial drive together with a degree in visual communication led to her co-founding video production agency Save As whose producing videos for brands including Coca-cola, Birmingham City University and Carlsberg as well as freelancing under the name of Mieleous, creating creative videos in the creative sector for names Including BBC 1 Extra Sideman All Day, Zee Zee Mills and Pricilla from Love Islands.
